Smet joins BioStorage Technologies with more than 20 years of experience in sales and operational management within the clinical research area. In his new role, Smet will be responsible for leading the Europe sales team and overseeing the development of new and existing customer relationships.

Prior to joining BioStorage Technologies, Smet founded and managed PS consulting, a firm providing long-term and project-based management support for service companies in the life sciences industry. Smet has also held high-level management positions with BARC Central Laboratory and MSOURCE, an international contract research organization. Piet holds a Bachelor of Psychiatric Nursing degree.
