About Oncology Metrics
Oncology Metrics is a service and data business for the oncology community. The mission of Oncology Metrics is to develop knowledge-based products and services to accelerate advancements in the treatment of cancer.
Oncology Metrics builds networks of community-based oncology centers and accesses and aggregates clinical and financial information from these networks to provide a platform of knowledge-based products and services.
The first network, Oncology Circle, is a national, knowledge sharing network of community-based oncology practices. Oncology Metrics aggregates practice management and financial information from the Oncology Circle and provides benchmarking services to enable members to improve their operational and financial performance. Today there are more than 300 physician members participating in the Oncology Circle.
“The oncology market is going through significant change. Successful practices will be the ones who embrace change and adopt new strategies to drive success,” said Warren Dodge. “Oncology Metrics provides a collaborative environment for professionally managed practices to evaluate financial performance though sharing and learning from each other.”
Another network developed by Oncology Metrics is Cure Pace, a network of professionally-managed, physician-owned practices from which Oncology Metrics can provide custom collection of waste serum, plasma, whole blood, bone marrow and paraffin embedded tissue from cancer patients. The samples are collected under an IRB approved research protocol with full patient consent. Oncology Metrics ties the sample to the patient’s longitudinal health record from the practice electronic medical record.
Oncology Metric’s customers include oncology care providers and organizations involved in the quest to improve cancer diagnosis and treatment. Oncology Metrics knowledge-based products and services help providers improve their financial and clinical performance and help the health care industry accelerate the development of more individualized and targeted products, technology and services for oncology professionals and patients.
Oncology Metrics was founded in 2001 and is based in Dallas-Fort Worth, Texas with an office in the San Francisco-Bay Area. Additional information about Oncology Metrics can be found at www.oncomet.com .
