RANCHO CORDOVA, Calif., Oct. 10 /PRNewswire/ -- Volcano Corporation announced today its schedule of live case transmissions featuring Volcano technologies during TCT 2005, multiple breakfast symposia and expanded exhibit presence to allow demonstration of important new development initiatives.
Live Case Transmissions from US, EU, Japan and South America
During the TCT week, Volcano will collaborate with its physician partners to provide a full slate of live case demonstrations of Volcano’s innovative intravascular imaging and intracoronary physiology products. This will include transmissions featuring Volcano’s ground-breaking IVUS-based tissue characterization technology -- VH(TM) IVUS -- and Volcano’s new ComboMap(TM) and ComboWire(TM) products, the industry’s only physiology system and wire providing pressure and flow measurements on one easy-to-use platform.

The first symposium, to be held on Wednesday, October 19th (7am to 8am, room 143A), will highlight technical aspects of VH IVUS and review observational findings from initial daily use and early findings from clinical trials to date. Company Comments
Scott Huennekens, President and CEO of Volcano Corporation commented, “When we purchased this business several years ago, we set out to bring innovation back to the IVUS and coronary physiology fields.
Our focused, dedicated efforts in R&D and clinical trials have been very productive. Adding to the highly successful introduction of VH IVUS in May of this year will be a number of truly significant new physician-driven product innovations -- many of which will be announced this week and demonstrated next week during TCT.”
