Twin Peaks Medical Imaging Announces Preventive Imaging Services

LONGMONT, Colo., Oct. 1 /PRNewswire/ -- Twin Peaks Medical Imaging (TPMI) is now providing targeted health screening for disease prevention to Longmont and the surrounding areas. The center, which has been operational for several months, is offering heart, lung and virtual colonoscopy preventive imaging tests. The center also offers non-invasive vascular imaging in addition to traditional diagnostic imaging tests.

"A growing sense of medical self-empowerment by patients has pushed the demand for early detection of treatable diseases," said Medical Director Brent Wahl. "We provide targeted screening exams of the lungs, heart and abdomen, which were previously restricted to physician referred patients. These screening exams have been utilized by prestigious institutions such as the Mayo Clinic in their executive physical program, but are now moving toward the mainstream."

Wahl said rapid advancements continue to be made in the field of preventive imaging, including the heart scan and virtual colonoscopy. These advancements in early detection, along with advancements in medical treatments, are giving preventive-minded people an opportunity to be proactive in their healthcare.
