LOS ANGELES & LJUBLJANA, Slovenia--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The Gores Group, a leading Los Angeles-based investment firm, and Technology4Medicine, LLC today announced they entered into an agreement to acquire a controlling interest in Fotona d.d., a Ljubljana, Slovenia, manufacturer of high performance lasers for medical, dental and aesthetic applications. The Gores Group will invest through its Small Capitalization Partners investment fund. Closing under the agreement is subject to regulatory approvals and customary conditions, and is expected to occur in the first quarter of 2014.
