HAYWARD, Calif., Aug. 3 /PRNewswire/ -- Thermage, Inc., a leading medical device company that manufactures and markets non-invasive treatments to tighten and contour skin, announced today that Stephen J. Fanning, 55, has been elected Chairman by the Board of Directors. Mr. Fanning joined Thermage in January 2005 as President, CEO and a Member of the Board and will continue to serve as President and CEO. He replaces Samuel D. Colella, who has served as Chairman since February 2005. Mr. Colella will remain on the Board as a Director.

Mr. Fanning was appointed President and CEO of Thermage on January 15, 2005. Most recently, Mr. Fanning served as President and CEO for Ocular Sciences, Inc., a $350 million global public Company, which developed, manufactured and marketed disposable contact lenses. Under his leadership, Ocular Sciences was sold to CooperVision for $1.3 billion in January 2005. Prior to joining Ocular Sciences, Mr. Fanning served in various senior executive positions for 25 years at Johnson & Johnson.
