Sigma Introduces New Gene Regulation Antibody Array, Offering Integrated Solutions For Protein Profiling

ST. LOUIS, Sept. 13 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Sigma, a division of Sigma- Aldrich Corporation , a $1.4 billion Life Science and High Technology company, has launched a new antibody array for identifying Gene Regulation in cell or tissue extracts.

Panorama(TM) Ab Microarray - Gene Regulation I Kit is designed for studying protein expression in cell or tissue extracts and is compatible with human, mouse, and rat proteins. The antibodies represent families of proteins found in the nucleus that are involved in chromatin remodeling and regulation of gene expression. These include transcription factors, histone modifying enzymes, along with antibodies that specifically recognize histone modification.

“Gene regulation is known to be involved in development, immune defenses, and tumorigenesis of cells. We are certain this platform technology will enhance many research areas including disease research and drug development. Researchers can confidently elucidate pathways and identify mechanisms involved in up or down regulation in less than 2 hours,” commented Alicia Pruett, Product Manager, Array Technology.

The Panorama Ab Microarray Gene Regulation Kit is a new addition to Sigma- Aldrich’s microarray product line. Based on a proprietary technology for increased signal to noise ratios, our arrays provide accurate assessment of biological samples.
