Sharp(R) Co-Sponsors ‘Game Day. Give Back’ Charity Viewing Party at Graceland on Feb. 6

MAHWAH, NJ--(Marketwire - February 04, 2011) - Sharp Electronics Corporation today announces it is co-sponsoring the "Game Day. Give Back" viewing party at Graceland to benefit the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis on February 6. The event, to be hosted by Former Shelby County Mayors Bill Morris and Jim Rout, Shelby County Mayor Mark Luttrell and Memphis City Mayor A.C. Wharton, will take place on the front lawn of the Graceland property and includes an auction and celebrity touch football game. The festivities start at 4:00 pm on Sunday.

"This is a very special event for fans of Elvis Presley, football and great parties, and it's all for a great cause," said Dan Wynne, Associate Vice President, Consumer and Retail Marketing, Sharp Electronics. "We're proud to support the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital by providing our AQUOS LCD TV's to watch the big game at this event."

The big game viewing party will be held in a heated tent decorated in a style similar to Elvis' TV room at Graceland. Guests will enjoy a relaxed setting with vintage-styled furnishings while watching the game on one of 10 large screen Sharp AQUOS televisions. Guest will have an opportunity to bid on two large screen AQUOS televisions donated by Sharp.

In addition to the Super Bowl viewing and auction, attendees will be able to participate in a touch football game with former Memphis State and NFL quarterback Billy Fletcher and an all-star lineup that will reenact the games Elvis held at Graceland more than 40 years ago.
