March 12, 2008 -- As expected, the Ministry of Health (MOH) has been reorganized and now will assume administrative responsibility for the SFDA. For the past five years, the SFDA has been operating as an independent agency. Before that, the SFDA was part of the MOH. The plan to reorganize the Ministry of Health was presented to the State Council on March 11 by Jianmin Hua, Secretary General of the State Council.
