BOSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Prize4Life, Inc. a nonprofit organization founded to accelerate Lou Gehrig’s disease research, announced today the winners of five $15,000 prizes for the best ideas in Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) biomarker discovery. Prize4Life launched this $75,000 idea competition in partnership with InnoCentive, an online crowdsourcing company, as a part of a $1 million contest to identify a biomarker for ALS. The discovery of a biomarker, an indicator used to measure the effects of a treatment, is critical to advancing ALS therapy development.
