MONTGOMERY VILLAGE, Md., Aug. 16 /PRNewswire/ -- Phoenix Health Systems, a national provider of healthcare IT outsourcing and consulting services, announced today that Darin LeGrange has been named President and Chief Executive Officer. This announcement comes in the wake of former CEO Richard Lind's decision to return to his seat on Phoenix' Board of Directors, where he will continue to play a significant role in the continued success of Phoenix' business development objectives.
LeGrange has been a key force for growth in the healthcare IT industry for over 16 years, having successfully served in senior leadership roles for three national healthcare service organizations -- Electronic Data Systems, Inc. (EDS), Affiliated Computer Services, Inc. (ACS) and Xactimed.
Prior to joining Phoenix Health Systems, LeGrange was President and CEO of Xactimed, where he led the company's aggressive growth from a small regional software firm to an emerging national leader in healthcare revenue cycle management solutions. Previously, LeGrange served as the President and Managing Director of the Healthcare Solutions division of ACS, building a highly successful organization through the development of complete IT outsourcing and BPO service lines for all healthcare market segments, as well as development of clinical analysis and revenue cycle management services specifically for hospitals. Under his leadership, this division earned a #9 ranking in the 2001 Healthcare Informatics Survey in just over three years. Before joining ACS, LeGrange spent nine years at EDS in the Health Care Industry Group where, serving in increasingly responsible leadership roles, he was responsible for multiple large-scale, full service healthcare IT outsourcing accounts.
"With Darin's assumption of Phoenix' leadership, the company is achieving a key milestone in its aggressive new strategy to meet the healthcare industry's growing demand for innovative, flexible IT outsourcing and process optimization services," said Ron Gue, Founder and Chairman of the Board. "The ability of Phoenix to attract someone of Darin's accomplishments is a testimony to the company's strengths and its potential for dramatic new growth in our marketplace. Darin brings extraordinary entrepreneurial skills and industry knowledge to Phoenix. Just as important, his leadership capabilities are founded on a passion for excellence, integrity in all areas, open and honest communication, and a strong focus on flexible client service -- the values upon which Phoenix was founded and for which it is widely respected."
"I am excited about this opportunity to help Phoenix realize its long term goals," said Mr. LeGrange. "The healthcare industry is hungry for the ROI and efficiencies promised with information technology, and Phoenix is poised to help organizations achieve this goal. We will work aggressively to ensure that our clients reap the benefits of their investment, so they can focus on their primary mission of caring for patients. True value through customer service and real business solutions will drive us forward in this exciting industry."
