MONTGOMERY VILLAGE, Md., Jan. 17 /PRNewswire/ -- Phoenix Health Systems announced today that Philip L. Morlan has joined the company as Executive Vice President, Consulting Services. As part of the agreement, Phoenix has acquired the business of Health Project Advisors, a healthcare consulting firm previously founded and led by Morlan, focused heavily on management consulting including hospital process improvement.
Morlan brings Phoenix over 25 years of successful leadership experience in healthcare information systems consulting and business development. Prior to forming Health Project Advisors, Morlan served as a Partner - Southern U.S. Leader of Accenture LLP / Capgemini’s Healthcare Information Technology Practice for over five years, and a Senior Partner of Ernst & Young for three years, also as Southern U.S. Healthcare Information Technology Practice Leader. Previously, Morlan was Principal-in-Charge of the Healthcare Systems Integration Practice of Larson, Allen, Weishair & Co (Epic USA, LLC), and Executive Vice President and Chief Information Officer of Medco Behavioral Care Corporation. Before joining Medco in 1994, Morlan was a National Partner, Healthcare Information Systems Practice, Coopers & Lybrand, where he held several leadership positions over his seven year tenure. Morlan’s early career included serving as Director of Management Information Systems, Sisters of Mercy Health Corporation.
