OKEMOS, Mich., Sept. 30 /PRNewswire/ -- Michigan Public Health Institute (MPHI), an Okemos-based health research center, won a two-year $600,000 federal research contract to perform a nationwide evaluation of rural health programs. The work will be overseen by the Center for Collaborative Research in Health Outcomes and Policy (CRHOP).
Project director Dr. Greg Cline, states, “We will be evaluating the success of programs in rural health outreach and network development, with our reports going to Congress.”
The research group is a federal MOBIS vendor, with expert qualifications in the area of survey research, evaluation, health policy consulting, education and training.
Dr. Lynn Breer indicates, “MOBIS is an important avenue for federal agencies to obtain rapid assistance with pre-qualified firms around the country. For us, it means new clients, new partnerships, and new jobs for mid-Michigan.”
MPHI-CRHOP is also conducting a specialized health survey for the federal government on environmental exposures and multiple sclerosis, an inflammatory disease of the central nervous system.
