NantHealth Launches NaviNet Open Claims Management Application Suite

Powerful new suite of payer-sponsored claims applications that lower administrative costs, enhance operating efficiency and eliminate manual workflows for payers and their provider networks.

CULVER CITY, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--NantHealth, LLC, a next-generation, evidence-based, personalized healthcare company enabling improved patient outcomes and more effective treatment decisions for critical illnesses, today announced the launch of NaviNet Open Claims Management, a powerful new suite of payer-sponsored claims applications available to providers through the NaviNet Open multi-payer provider portal. NaviNet, which was acquired by NantHealth in January 2016, is the industry’s leading payer-provider collaboration network consisting of more 450,000 healthcare professionals who transact with approximately 40 health plans.

“We are thrilled to add NaviNet Open Claims Management to NaviNet Open. This application brings payers and providers –from solo practitioners to large billing departments – a set of powerful and easy-to-use tools for managing electronic claims”

NaviNet Open Claims Management brings value to payers and their provider networks by addressing the need to prevail over outdated manual processes and cumbersome claims workflows while complementing existing investments in NaviNet Open. The time spent on manually handling paper claims, attachments and claim correction forms can account for up to $210 billion of wasted money in the healthcare system, according to a recent PriceWaterhouse Coopers report. To reduce these costs and inefficiencies, NaviNet Open Claims Management delivers capabilities that allow providers to spend more time taking care of patients, submit electronic claims without a costly IT investment, and streamline workflows to improve payer-provider collaboration.

Key features of the suite include:

  • Claim Submission is fast, easy, and intuitive which entices paper claim submitters such as therapists, chiropractors, and transportation companies to abandon costly manual workflows.
  • Claim Adjustment allows providers to correct and resubmit any claim regardless of whether the original claim was submitted through NaviNet, a provider’s clearinghouse, or even their practice management system. This gives all providers a self-service option for claim correction and eliminates paper forms and costly phone/fax interactions.

Claim Attachments enable providers to submit electronic attachments with new claim submissions and subsequently when payers request additional information for processing. This replaces the very costly and time-consuming process of printing and mailing paper claims and attachments.

"We are thrilled to add NaviNet Open Claims Management to NaviNet Open. This application brings payers and providers –from solo practitioners to large billing departments – a set of powerful and easy-to-use tools for managing electronic claims," said Mark Dudman, President, Product Operations at NantHealth. "The NaviNet Open Claims Management application suite is an important and valuable extension of our current platform offerings. Tight integration between this suite and other applications within NaviNet Open enable users to work seamlessly between multiple workflows, driving more efficiency for our provider customers, permitting them to move from administrators to stewards of health care."
