NACDS’ Mobile App and Website Provide “One-Two Punch” for Efficiency at NACDS Annual Meeting

Alexandria, Va. – Back by popular demand, the National Association of Chain Drug Stores (NACDS) today launched its 2011 Annual Meeting mobile web-based application, or “app.” In addition, the NACDS mobile website – m.NACDS.org– is fully updated with information about this meeting and all 2011 NACDS events. Combined, these mobile resources present Annual Meeting attendees practical tools that they will find helpful in advanced planning and onsite implementation. This mobile “app” is designed to enhance attendees’ efficiency and experience at the NACDS Annual Meeting, which runs from April 30-May 3 in Scottsdale, Arizona. First introduced for the 2010 NACDS Annual Meeting, the app has been an important tool for applying today’s technology to NACDS’ proven meeting format. NACDS also utilized similar apps for both the 2010 Marketplace Conference and Pharmacy & Technology Conference.

Unveiled earlier this year, m.NACDS.org serves as a “guide on the go” to NACDS meetings, advocacy and public relations. This year’s Annual Meeting attendees will find an updated schedule, floor plan, list of participants and other important information about the upcoming event on the mobile website. The site is specifically designed for ease of use on any smartphone with a web browser.

The NACDS mobile app is compatible with most Smartphone platforms including the iPhone, Droid and Blackberry devices and can be downloaded for free on the Annual Meeting website: http://www.nacdsannual.org/.

“NACDS is committed to bringing a cutting-edge approach to its member programs and services,” said NACDS President and CEO Steven C. Anderson, IOM, CAE. “NACDS continues to leverage technology to continuously enhance the meeting experience.”

The NACDS Annual Meeting offers a unique opportunity for more than 2,000 of today’s most influential retail executives from drug, food and mass merchandising and their supplier partners to share insights, and build relationships that extend far beyond the four-day meeting.
