LEXINGTON, Mass., April 8, 2014 – N-of-One, Inc., the leading provider of clinical interpretation for precision medicine in oncology, today announced an agreement with Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, NH to provide clinical interpretation for Dartmouth-Hitchcock’s Next-Generation Sequencing tests as part of Norris Cotton Cancer Center’s comprehensive molecular diagnostics and treatment program. Financial terms of the agreement are not disclosed.

Under the terms of the agreement, N-of-One will deliver clinical interpretation and analysis of the next-generation sequencing (NGS) test results of each Dartmouth-Hitchcock patient’s cancer. N-of-One’s clinical interpretation links the relevant biological and clinical knowledge and insights related to the mutation profile of each tumor identified by next generation sequencing to therapeutic strategies, including clinical trials. This enables Dartmouth-Hitchcock physicians to utilize this knowledge integrated with other patient-specific clinical information to make more molecularly-informed personalized treatment decisions.

Dartmouth-Hitchcock joins a growing number of leading cancer centers that are building internal genetic sequencing programs for oncology.

“As precision medicine becomes an integral part of providing outstanding cancer care, more cancer centers are working to build and expand their capabilities in next-generation sequencing, and we are pleased to work with the talented team of physicians and scientists at Dartmouth-Hitchcock,” said Chris Cournoyer, CEO of N-of-One. “With the costs for gene sequencing technology decreasing, the knowledge about molecularly-guided therapies and the resulting complexity of interpreting the data is exploding. We are helping leading cancer centers implement comprehensive genomic sequencing by providing the link to the knowledge of therapeutic options in a scalable, cost-effective way.”
