HOUSTON, Jan. 9 /PRNewswire/ .- Linc Facility Services(R), LLC (LFS) and its family of companies announced it has acquired Technology in Medicine, Inc. (TiM), a leading regional provider of medical equipment maintenance management services. TiM’s strong presence in the Northeast and more than 30 years of experience serving the healthcare sector complement LFS’ comprehensive facility management portfolio, enhance its healthcare services offerings, and extend its customer reach. LFS is a business unit of The Linc Group(R), LLC.
Massachusetts-based TiM has offered high quality, bundled medical equipment services since its founding in 1974. Today, the company provides contracted clinical engineering and technology management services to hospitals, health care systems, and alternative care facilities in the New England and Mid Atlantic regions. In 2001, TiM recognized that the convergence of medical equipment and information systems technology would transform medical equipment from discrete devices to interconnected clinical systems. As a result, TiM extended its service scope to encompass clinical technology throughout the enterprise. This innovative, enterprise-wide approach has made TiM a leader in its field of healthcare asset and technology management.
“As one of the largest independent medical equipment services firms, the TiM acquisition will provide us with critical mass and instant credibility in the high-tech healthcare market,” said Phil Rogers, LFS president and CEO. “The Northeast houses one of the largest hospital populations in the country. TiM has set the standard for service excellence and value throughout the region, with service to more than 100 healthcare facilities in the Northeast. The company has a long and solid reputation of integrity and excellent quality and we are proud to have them as part of our organization.”
TiM will retain its name but be branded as “A Linc Facility Services Company” and will become an integral part of the LFS commercial division. TiM Founder and President Raymond Peter Zambuto will join the LFS executive team as well as continue to serve as president of TiM.
“LFS presents TiM with an exciting opportunity to extend the reach of our programs and apply resources that further enhance our value to our customers,” said Zambuto. “Both organizations have a demonstrated commitment to customer satisfaction, innovation, technology, and ‘unparalleled excellence.’ These common cultural elements will lead to a significant upside for both organizations and especially for our customers.”
