Keystone Mercy Health And Wellness Pavilion At 15th Annual Susquehanna NAC Festival Offers Valuable Health Information And Fun Activities

PHILADELPHIA, June 21 /PRNewswire/ -- Keystone Mercy Health Plan will be a sponsor of the 15th Annual Susquehanna Neighborhood Advisory Council (SNAC) Community Festival, to be held on Saturday, June 26, 2004 from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Broad Street and Susquehanna Avenue.

At the festival, Keystone Mercy will host the Health and Wellness Pavilion, located at 19th Street and Susquehanna Avenue. In addition, three neighborhood physicians will be available in the Health and Wellness Pavilion to answer questions about heart disease and cardiovascular health.

The festival will include art, food, clothing, jewelry vendors, raffles, face painting, entertainers, city and state services informational workshops, and much more. The Health and Wellness Pavilion will provide health screenings and information.

The Susquehanna Neighborhood Advisory Council began as a local campaign against dilapidated housing. With the assistance of several city agencies, SNAC made noteworthy changes in the physical condition of North Central Philadelphia. SNAC has continued to expand services to better address additional quality of life and community issues. SNAC continues to support housing initiatives, but also provides assistance with economic development, senior citizens and food bank programs, youth anti-drug projects, voter registration drives, tutorial services, block organizing, computer training, and a host of other programs and services.
