John L. Hauer Joins PERFORMAX As Senior Vice President, Operations

BALTIMORE, April 14 /PRNewswire/ -- PERFORMAX, a Baltimore-based national developer, manager and administrator of self-funded employee health benefit plans, is pleased to announce the hiring of John L. Hauer as Senior Vice President of Operations.

In his new position, Hauer is responsible for oversight of the company’s national operations, including client service, vendor management, eligibility, COBRA, contracting and health plan management.

Hauer has devoted his career to the health benefits industry. Prior to joining PERFORMAX, Hauer served as Vice President of Third Party Administrator (TPA) Operations at CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield. In that role, he was responsible for planning, strategy, technology, finance and account management. Previously, Hauer was General Manager and Chief Financial Officer of Willse & Associates.

Hauer graduated from Towson University, where he received a B.S. in Business Administration. He is a certified public accountant and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Maryland Association of Certified Public Accountants (MACPA).
