Jacobs Selected As Program Manager For The Methodist Hospital’s New Research Institute

HOUSTON, Jan. 17 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. announced today that a subsidiary company has received a contract from The Methodist Hospital to provide program management services for planning, design, construction, and initial occupancy of the hospital’s new research facility in Houston, Texas.

Officials estimate the value of the program at $155 million.

The program includes up to 300,000 square feet of research laboratories and support space located in the Texas Medical Center. The research institute is part of an expanding Methodist complex comprising multiple facilities. The hospital’s planned building program also includes several levels of parking and pedestrian sky bridges connecting various Methodist facilities.

In making the announcement, Jacobs Group Vice President Warren Dean stated, “We are extremely pleased that The Methodist Hospital System selected us to partner with them on their state-of-the-art research institute project. We look forward to working with them as they seek to realize the vision they are developing for their capital program.”
