SAN ANTONIO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--iTraumaCare announced today that the iTClamp® Hemorrhage Control System has closed one hundred new accounts in North America, marking a major milestone for the company in its first year of commercial availability. The iTClamp achieved its initial regulatory clearance from the FDA in May of 2013 and trained its first US dealer in July of 2014. The product has been available for purchase in Europe and Canada since the fall of 2013.

Dr. Joe Holley, the first adopter of the iTClamp in the US, is one of the medical directors of Memphis’ Hospital Wing Air Medical Transport Service. “Severe hemorrhage continues to be a leading cause of morbidity and mortality,” he commented. “The iTClamp has given us a rapidly deployable means to effectively control these situations in the field. The iTClamp is quickly applied, portable, effective, and doesn’t disrupt distal blood flow like a tourniquet. The crew can quickly control life threatening bleeding and proceed with additional important patient care activities. Hospital Wing has always led the way in patient care and innovation, and I’m really excited to be a part of this latest development in patient care.”
