San Carlos, CA, December 9, 2008 – ISIS Services, LLC, a leading contract research organization, is proud to announce that both its Berkeley and San Carlos facility have received full accreditation from the Association for the Assessment and Accreditation of Laboratory Animal Care (AAALAC). AAALAC is an internationally recognized, nonprofit organization that promotes the humane treatment of animals in science through voluntary accreditation and assessment programs.
AAALAC representatives performed an extensive on-site inspection of each facility and commended the staff and management for providing quality facilities and programs for the care and use of laboratory animals. Their findings determined that ISIS Services is committed to the highest standard of animal care and research.
In their approval letter, AAALAC representatives gave special recognition to several aspects of the organization’s program, including the, “administrative commitment to the animal care and use program, as evidenced by the construction of the San Carlos facility; the outstanding oversight provided by the Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC); the dedicated and experienced veterinary, surgical and animal care staff; the outstanding surgical monitoring program; and the technology and innovation used in the construction of and equipment provided for the San Carlos surgical areas.”
