The Femur Finder is a unique positioning tool that provides the surgeon an accurate means of targeting guide wire placement while minimizing soft tissue trauma during femoral IM nailing procedures. With the Femur Finder System no direct exposure of the proximal femur or use of an awl to open the femoral canal is required. And, it eliminates the need to “eyeball” the correct femoral entry point. This minimally invasive technique reduces postoperative morbidity and minimizes complications with hip abductor muscles during rehabilitation.
The innovative IMP 3.0 mm Spade Tip Sterile Guide Wire eliminates foreign debris in the incision. Use of this proprietary guide wire facilitates advancement, maximizing performance. As the reamer advances, the 3.0 mm Ball Tip Guide Wire helps to prevent wire penetration through the joint space. The new Sterile Guide Wires are individually packaged in a double peel pack. The inner chipboard container is suitable for managing inventory in the O.R. environment.
The new custom fitted Sterilization Tray accommodates the Femur Finder and accompanying Tissue Protector.
