MALVERN, Pa., April 7 /PRNewswire/ -- HMP Communications, LLC, a privately-held medical publishing and communications company serving the healthcare professional, today announced the appointment of Charles Benaiah to the post of President and Chief Operating Officer.

Mr. Benaiah was most recently a Partner at BG Media Investors, a private equity firm specializing in the media and publishing industries, and shareholder of HMP. Since joining BG Media Investors in 1997, Mr. Benaiah has helped create a portfolio of mid-market companies that has outperformed public market comparables. During his tenure at BG Media Investors, Mr. Benaiah has taken executive positions with portfolio companies including his serving as HMP’s Chief Financial Officer during the past two years. Prior to joining BG Media Investors, Mr. Benaiah was an investment banker for the technology sector and held derivative trading positions with Royal Bank of Canada and Deutsche Bank. Mr. Benaiah began his career as a robotic control engineer with Motorola Canada.
Mr. Benaiah earned a Bachelor of Mathematics in Computer Science from the University of Waterloo and a Masters of Business Administration in Finance from Dalhousie University in Canada.
