Medicare & More and Actively You members will receive Part D prescription drug coverage automatically and will not pay anything additional for the coverage. The Part D coverage will be more extensive than the drug benefit that Medicare & More and Actively You members now receive and will include brand drug coverage.

“Every year, we strive to offer Florida Medicare beneficiaries HMO plans that provide quality service at an affordable cost,” said Bill Carstarphen, director of Over 65 products, BCBSF. “By offering the Part D drug coverage we have enhanced the value of our Medicare HMO products while at the same time lowering costs. We recognize the importance the pharmacy benefit has for our members, and are enhancing this benefit to meet their needs.”

Medicare & More and Actively You members with questions or concerns should call the customer service number listed on their member identification card.

BCBSF also offers prescription drug coverage for Medicare-eligible Floridians called BlueScript for Medicare Part D, a stand-alone plan for individuals with Original Medicare and for those who have our Medicare Supplement products. Medicare Supplement customers may continue to retain their current coverage.
