Hamilton Scientific LLC, a Wisconsin-based manufacturer of lab equipment and supplies, will close its facility in Round Rock and lay off dozens of workers, according to documents released by the Texas Workforce Commission.
In a letter to the Commission dated Feb. 17, Hamilton Scientific Human Resources Manager Bonnie Clancy said that “unforeseen business circumstances” have forced the company to close the facility permanently. Clancy wrote that 67 employees have been laid off, with their last day effective on the plant closing date, or between March 6-20.
