SAN DIEGO, HIMSS 2006, Feb. 13 /PRNewswire/ -- Advanced critical medical information systems provider Global Care Quest (GCQ) today announced the appointment of Cleve Adams as Chief Executive Officer. Adams, a veteran executive with a 25-year record of managing successful technology start-ups, most recently served as President and CEO of PureSight, Inc., a wireless secure content management firm acquired by a major mobile services provider in the latter half of 2005.
GCQ is the developer of the Integrated Clinical Information System (ICIS), an advanced medical information platform that performs integration and delivery of critical patient data to doctors and other members of the medical team via desktop computers, wireless PCs, and handheld mobile devices such as PDAs and phones. ICIS is the only such system that can collect and present data from a multitude of sources -- radiology, pharmacy, ADT, bedside monitoring devices, etc. -- in realtime.
The brainchild of Dr. Neil Martin, a professor and Chief of Neurosurgery at UCLA’s David Geffen School of Medicine, and two healthcare technologists, Valerly Nenov and Farzad Buxey, the company was recently funded by Lexington Ventures.
In his role as CEO Adams’ first task is to direct Global Care Quest’s strategic growth, a duty with which he is well-versed. As a top executive he has a long track record of impressive results. Adams has secured tens of millions in venture financing, engineer mergers and acquisitions, and helped transform small start-ups into publicly-traded market leaders with near-billion dollar market capitalizations. He has held executive posts at a number of software, security and critical systems technology firms including PureSight, Websense, Sequel Technologies, Novell and Texas Instruments.
