GHI Introduces New Health Insurance Options For Employer Groups

NEW YORK, Nov. 5 /PRNewswire/ -- Group Health Incorporated (GHI) today announced the introduction of two new, competitively priced health insurance products. GHI PPO Share* and GHI EPO Share* are the latest complement to GHI’s comprehensive portfolio of individual and family plans.

The GHI PPO Share and GHI EPO Share plans offer affordable health care coverage at rates that are 10-15% less than those for comparable standard EPO and PPO plans. Employers can choose from several plan designs and prescription drug options to meet their benefit and budget needs. The GHI PPO Share Program is designed for employer groups from 2 to 50 who want health coverage that offers a full range of benefits, yet still keeps out-of-pocket costs down. The program offers attractive cost-sharing combinations, with two co-payment options, in- and out-of-network deductible limits, and four levels of out-of-pocket maximums.

The GHI EPO Share Program, an in-network only product, features a similar broad range of benefits options, deductibles and two levels of coinsurance maximums. Members of both plans have direct, no physician referral access to GHI’s Tri-State network (NY, NJ and CT) of 73,500 participating providers, and specialists and 335 hospitals.

“We understand the health insurance needs of the market,” stated Dave Henderson, GHI Senior Vice President, Sales and Marketing. “Employers are looking for cost-effective products with a wide range of benefits, and GHI has flexible options designed to meet the needs of groups of all sizes.”

GHI has also expanded its provider network by adding more than 1,000 OB/GYN’s, Pediatricians, and Internal Medicine and Family Practice Physicians throughout New York State. The expansion includes 500 physicians from Memorial Sloan Kettering, 160 physicians in Westchester County, including the Mt. Kisco Medical Group, and more than 365 doctors in Nassau and Suffolk Counties. Additionally, more than 500 doctors on New York Magazine’s Best Physician list participate with GHI.
