SALT LAKE CITY--(BUSINESS WIRE)--BSD Medical Corporation (NASDAQ:BSDM) (the “Company” or “BSD”) announced today the purchase, installation and acceptance of a BSD-500 Hyperthermia System (BSD-500) by Fort Belvoir Community Hospital (Fort Belvoir). The BSD-500 was purchased in April 2011 by Fort Belvoir. The new Fort Belvoir Community Hospital opened in 2011 and is part of an integrated health care network that provides world-class medical service to the nation’s wounded, active duty service members, retirees and family members. Fort Belvoir provides state-of-the art health care to beneficiaries throughout the National Capital Region. The addition of hyperthermia to the services at Fort Belvoir provides patients an additional innovative cancer treatment option and another weapon in the battle with cancer.
