PHILADELPHIA (August 3, 2015) – Joseph R. Testa, PhD, professor and Carol and Kenneth E. Weg Chair of Human Genetics at Fox Chase Cancer Center, has been appointed to serve as senior editor for Cancer Research, a journal of the American Association for Cancer Research.
Testa specializes in cancer genetics, specifically AKT and mesothelioma, at Fox Chase. He will serve as editor of the molecular and cellular pathobiology section of the journal for a three-year term. As a senior editor, Testa will be part of the peer review process for the most frequently cited oncology journal in the world.
“It is an honor to be appointed to this position,” said Testa. “Cancer Research leads our field, and those who submit papers have put a lot of time and effort into their studies. I hope to bring a unique insight into the process of selection.”
Cancer Research publishes original studies, reviews and opinion pieces offering significance and broad impact to a diverse audience spanning basic, preclinical, clinical, prevention and epidemiology research.
