Every year during its annual conference and exhibition, the Society for Biomolecular Sciences chooses one technical speaker who is outstanding. This year SBS announces that the honor, which includes a $1,500 honorarium from Roy Manns and the PolyPops Foundation, goes to Dr. Alan Aderem, Director, Institute for Systems Biology Ph.D., Biophysics and Biology University of Cape Town, 1979. Dr. Aderem’s topic, presented during the 12th Annual Conference & Exhibition in Seattle, Washington, was entitled, A Systems Approach to Dissecting Immunity.
