OT -- One noticeable effect of the U.S. Department of Justice investigation of relationships between orthopedic device manufacturers and surgeons is the reduced research funding resulting from companies restricting their support of investigators and institutions. If the situation does not improve soon, some say the future of orthopedic innovation may be in jeopardy.
