(AHMEDABAD, INDIA), July 13, 2009 – Dishman Group of Ahmedabad, India, a leading products and services provider to the pharmaceutical industry, has announced the appointment of Juan Venceslao to the newly created position of Director, Dishman Generic API Business. Venceslao will report to Jay Vyas, managing director of the global pharmaceutical services provider.
Venceslao will assume business responsibility for Dishman’s existing generic API portfolio, and will also have a leadership role in driving and managing Dishman’s growth in this area.
“We are delighted to add someone with Juan’s calibre and experience to our senior team” said Vyas. “With his background in bulk API’s, Juan will bring substantial market knowledge and will play a key role in helping Dishman to build and maintain a strong technology offering to both the ethical and generic pharmaceutical industries”.
Venceslao previously served as marketing and commercial manager Europe, Asia, Australia, and Middle East for Uquifa S.A., a company majoring in supply of active ingredients to the pharmaceutical industry. He holds a bachelor’s degree in pharmacy from University of Barcelona in Spain, and post graduate qualifications in both marketing and international management.
