PLAINVILLE, Mass., Nov. 16 /PRNewswire/ -- The new Dale(R) Transducer Holder allows for closer approximation to the phlebostatic axis thereby reducing the likelihood of errors associated with improper leveling.
The transducer holder secures up to three transducers on the patient’s arm, in line with the phlebostatic axis. It stays with the patient during transport, reducing the need for re-zeroing and re-leveling.
The Dale Transducer Holder replaces other securement methods, such as tape on the upper arm or bracketing to an I.V. pole. It is designed for use during hemodynamic monitoring with an arterial line, Swan Ganz catheter, or central venous catheter. For added security with arterial lines, the transducer holder can be used as a system with the Dale Bendable ArmBoard.
“The transducer holder was conceived by two nurses who had many years of experience in the ICU and were frustrated by the lack of an easy-to-use, reliable transducer holder,” says Dale President John Brezack. “We are very happy to be able to take their idea and make it a reality.”
