Convaid has enjoyed a long-standing relationship with United Cerebral Palsy of Los Angeles, Ventura and Santa Barbara Counties, where Convaid donated pediatric mobility products to the affiliate and participated at multiple fundraising events. The collaboration template between Convaid and UCPLA was then expanded to include United Cerebral Palsy of Orange County (UCPOC) and United Cerebral Palsy of Philadelphia (UCPPhila), with additional alliance with UCP affiliates in formation.
Convaid's first donation of pediatric mobility products will take place at the upcoming UCP National Conference to be held at the Vdara Hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada from April 4-6, 2016, where Convaid Marketing Communications Manager, Milena Rimassa and Pacific Region Business Development Representative, Rebecca Hombs, will be in attendance at Booth 19.
Ian Feiler, Director of Institutional Support said, "We're really looking forward to this gathering of UCP's affiliate network and the energy we know it will generate. UCP's Annual Conference brings together the most engaged and influential leaders of the United Cerebral Palsy national network to focus on their vision for the movement for people with disabilities and their families. Service providers, advocates, health care professionals and volunteers, along with the national leadership of UCP, will take this time to collaborate and innovate, using UCP's newly adopted strategic plan to map out how to better serve people with disabilities and their families in the coming year."
Convaid will donate a Convaid lightweight, folding, pediatric wheelchair for raffle at the UCP National Conference as well as a Carrot 3 Child Restraint System, a best-in-class child restraint system for use in a vehicle.
All UCP affiliate members at the National Conference will have an equal opportunity to participate in the raffles for the two Convaid products and the winners will be announced on April 6 by closing of the event.
UCP National Office Vice President of Affiliate Network, Anita Porco said, "We are very appreciative of the donation of these products to support our affiliates and the individual families they serve, and we look forward to working with Convaid over the course of the year to provide additional donations to benefit UCP's affiliate network."
"Convaid is delighted to expand its planned giving and general outreach with the UCP organization and its affiliates. There is a marked overlap in the pediatric population UCP serves and the prevalence of use of our mobility products to improve the quality of life for children living with Cerebral Palsy. We look forward working with UCP in an expanded capacity this year and in the years to come," said Nanneke Dinklo, Director, Convaid Global Marketing & Business Development.
