PLUMS LABS, winner of the Cleantech Open France prize,
represented France and came in 4th place
Cleantech Open France (www.ctofrance.com), an organization created by ECOSYS Group to boost the innovation capacity and growth of French companies that develop environmental technologies, welcomes the participation of PLUME LABS (www.plumelabs.com), grand prize winner of the Cleantech Open France, to the world final of the Cleantech Open Forum that was held in San Francisco, November 17-19. PLUME LABS came in 4th place.
This presence at the final of the forum reinforced the work undertaken every day by the organization, whose mission is to scout and support the most promising French eco-innovative companies capable to bring answers to the bioclimatic and energy challenges facing our world today.
PLUME LABS develops a connected mobile advice that measures and understands its exposure to air pollution. At the eve of COP21, it provides solutions for some of the main societal challenges that the world faces today, including improving the health and well being of better informed citizens about the major issue of air pollution. This startup launched in May 2015, the Plume Air Report, a free urban air forecast for Android, iPhone and Apple Watch, a free application that gives air pollution levels in real-time in 30 cities in France and in more than 150 cities around the world. Last June, during the festival "Futur en Seine", PLUME LABS released a prototype of its personal sensor for air pollution.
By scouting and discovering new talents in ecotechnology, Cleantech Open plays a major role when it to comes to positioning these actors in ecotechnolgy, as indispensible partners for economic, industrial, health and welfare programs established throughout the world.
"Once again, the international Cleantech Open contest comes to bolster et encourage the innovative strength and R&D intensity of Cleantech startups who are continually finding new ways to react and act throughout the world when facing the ongoing societal upheavals concerning natural resources and ecosystems preservation in the long run" say Pierre Nougué et Olivier Duverdier, co-founders of Cleantech Open France. "The 2015 edition ends with the final in San Francisco and in collaboration with all our partners, a new quest is beginning as of now to discover new Cleantech talents who will be rewarded next year" conclude Pierre Nougué and Olivier Duverdier.

The international Cleantech prize rewards every year 10 startups and SME from across the world, which innovation, revolutionary as well as visionary, bring concrete answers to challenges brought on by the ongoing energy, environmental, societal and digital transition. The goal is to discover talents, to coach them all throughout the year and to bet on their national and international success. It is also an opportunity to help them create long term employment.
Cleantech Open France starts planning the 7th edition of the French contest that will take place between February and October 2016
A jury of 80 experts in eco-innovation selected from public institutions, major groups and investments funds versed in ecotechnology issues will select 25 applications among 100 during the semi-finals, then 8 runners up for the fina from criteria based on innovation, durability, job creation and especially value creation in their fields. These companies will be rewarded with an accompanying program with a total value of 480.000 €, as part of the partnership between Cleantech Open the European organization Climate-KIC.
The winner will be rewarded the "Prix France" in October; it will then represent Cleantech Open France at the grand final that is held every year in San Francisco.
