SAN DIEGO, March 6 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Bridgetech Holdings International Inc. , a company focused on maximizing the potential of emerging healthcare products and services in the U.S. and Asian markets, and Wu Jieping (WJP) Medical Foundation, a non-profit organization under the Ministry of Health, announced today that they have established a new entity to distribute Bridgetech’s products throughout the Peoples Republic of China (PRC). This new entity will have first right of refusal on all of Bridgetech’s products and can not distribute any products that might compete with Bridgetech.
According to Michael Chermak, Chairman and CEO of Bridgetech, this agreement has an initial term of 10 years and could potentially include all of Bridgetech’s diagnostics and therapeutics. Chermak noted that WJP’s position as a leader in the education of medical professionals and institutions in the PRC would be a great facilitator in this process. “As the WJP Medical Foundation is the recognized leader in the dissemination of the latest and most trusted healthcare information in China, it follows that they would become a leading source of the latest diagnostics and therapeutics,” he said. “WJP wants to further improve the healthcare environment in China by ensuring that the leading facilities in China have access to these new emerging world-class products.”
The highly regarded WJP Medical Foundation works with an extensive member network of more than 300 of China’s most esteemed hospitals. “One of the four key components of our business strategy focuses on distribution,” noted Chermak. “This relationship forms a strong foundation for our distribution network. The direct access this provides us to China’s most highly regarded hospitals will significantly facilitate the expansion of our distribution network to additional facilities throughout the PRC,” said Chermak.
Dr. Fang Jun, Secretary General of WJP Medical Foundation and one of China’s most respected medical professionals, said, “We are truly pleased with this collaborative relationship. Bridgetech’s products allow us to move past education and provide our members direct access to some of the most advanced healthcare technologies available.” Dr. Fang added, “One of our goals is to assure that our member facilities have the tools necessary to apply what they have learned, and increase the quality of treatment options available to their patients.”
