SAN FRANCISCO, Oct. 3 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Blue Shield of California today announced the promotion of four directors to the role of vice president in the company’s customer services and corporate marketing and human resources functions. All promotions are effective immediately.
To better support sales and customer service initiatives, Blue Shield has promoted Lou Lombardo to vice president of Producer Experience, with responsibility for leading producer strategy across all lines of business in conjunction with existing sales, marketing and operational functions. Lombardo succeeds Debra Bowles, who has held various group sales and business unit leadership positions during her 14-year career with Blue Shield. Bowles will be leaving Blue Shield on November 1, 2005.
Kathi Lucke, will assume the role of vice president of Finance within Customer Services and Corporate Marketing, focusing on budget and analytics as well as managing major projects in 2006.
Lombardo and Lucke will report to Bob Novelli, executive vice president, Customer Services and Corporate Marketing.
Cindy Bottenhagen was promoted to vice president of Human Resources, Customer Services and Corporate Marketing, supporting the company’s largest division composed of 2,500 employees.
Cathy Murphy has been named vice president, Human Resource Operations with responsibility for compensation and benefits, human resources program management and corporate employee relations and compliance.
Both Bottenhagen and Murphy will report to Marianne Jackson, senior vice president, Human Resources.
