VISTA, Calif., Oct. 6 /PRNewswire/ -- Aperio Technologies announces the release of the ScanScope T3, a compact, professional-grade slide scanning system for pathologists. This new ultra fast scanner rapidly digitizes entire microscope slides at giga-pixel resolution, producing true-color seamless virtual slide images.
The T3 system, which compliments Aperio’s existing high-throughput T2 system, allows pathologists to create, store, annotate, analyze, share, and conference virtual slide images directly from their desktop. Up to five slides can be loaded simultaneously and scanned fully automatically using easily interchangeable 20x or 40x objectives. The T3 is compatible with Aperio’s open software architecture and supports standard database and image file formats, streamlining integration of the T3 with existing laboratory and data management systems.
The T3 also features a live revisit mode that combines the entire slide accessibility of virtual slide images with an ability to revisit selected areas of a glass or virtual slide image at higher resolution and/or at multiple focal planes.
