ATLANTA, Oct. 25, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- The Atlanta Detox Center, opened earlier this month, is poised to offer high quality inpatient care for substance abuse and mental health, and help people change their lives.

The facility is owned and operated by Amatus Health, a national behavioral health organization spreading its community-focused approach to addiction and mental health treatment.

“We are incredibly excited about the opening of this facility, as we continue work on our mission to help people find real long-term recovery and work towards staying clean and sober, and rebuilding their lives,” said Michael Silberman, Chief Operating Officer of Amatus Health.

The facility offers inpatient care for individuals dealing with depression anxiety, bipolar or other personality disorders or other mental health diagnoses, as well as medical detoxification and inpatient care for individuals dealing with substance abuse and co-occurring mental health disorders.

Amatus Health operates facilities in Maryland, Ohio, Georgia and New Hampshire. The Atlanta Detox Center is the second facility in Georgia, joining the East Point Recovery Center in nearby East Point, Georgia. “We are dedicated to continuing our work in the region and grateful for the opportunity to continue with the success we found at East Point, in Atlanta and across Georgia,” said Silberman.

Executive Director Jason Flaig will oversee operations of the site, and Clinical Director Dr. Hetal Patel, Ph.D., LPC, will oversee the on-site team of therapists, counselors, nurses and nurse practitioners.

“We are proud to join the Amatus health family, and incredibly proud of the team we have assembled here at Atlanta Detox. We are ready to start transforming lives and lend our help to anyone in need,” said Flaig.
