PITTSBURGH, PRNewswire/ -- "As a registered nurse and geriatric care manager, I have watched many seniors attempt multiple times to get up from a seated position," said an inventor from Orlando, Fla. "In order to help them, I conceived of an assistive device that provides a boost when rising up from a seated to standing position."

She developed the patent pending STANDING HANDLES to make it easier to stand up from a seated position. The accessory helps the user rise easily after sitting down on a chair or couch. The device eliminates or reduces the need to ask for assistance with getting up. It provides added peace of mind and independence to individuals in need. The unit is adaptable for use with most couches and chairs. Additionally, it is easily adjustable to accommodate individual needs.

The original design was submitted to the Orlando office of InventHelp. It is currently available for licensing or sale to manufacturers or marketers.
