BIOCOM Passes The 500 Member Mark

SAN DIEGO, July 25 /PRNewswire/ -- BIOCOM, the association for the life science community in Southern California, has passed the 500-member milestone, making it the largest regional life science association in the world.

"A life science organization is only as strong as the support it gets from its members, and I am proud to say that BIOCOM has attracted and retained more than 500 companies that are working together to move the Southern California life science industry forward," said Joe Panetta, president and CEO of BIOCOM. The achievement will be celebrated at BIOCOM's Annual Open House, from 4 p.m.- 7 p.m. on July 27 at the BIOCOM offices at 4510 Executive Drive in La Jolla. More than 400 life science executives and industry leaders will attend the event, which is free to members of BIOCOM.

BIOCOM also will recognize new members who have joined in 2006 at the open house.
