TriMed Research, Inc. To Present At BIO Mid-America VentureForum 2004

OMAHA, Neb.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 29, 2004--TriMed Research, Inc. announced today that Dr. David Winter, chief executive officer, will present at the BIO Mid-America VentureForum which will be held May 3-5, 2004 at the Chase Park Plaza Hotel in St. Louis. The BIO Mid-America VentureForum is the only nationally sponsored Midwest conference dedicated exclusively to biotechnology.

Dr. Winter will provide an overview of TriMed Research's plan to commercialize a naturally occurring mammary gland protein designated as MAA. MAA has been shown to actually prevent gastro-intestinal infections and could result in a new class of anti-infective compounds with therapeutic applications for both humans and animals. Potential applications include the prevention of life-threatening diseases in infants, reduction of farm animal disease, reduction of the debilitating side-effects of cancer treatments and even the prevention of "travelers' diarrhea."
