San Diego MIT Enterprise Forum Release: Nanotechnology, The Next BIG Small Thing: A Special Program By The San Diego MIT Enterprise Forum

SAN DIEGO, Nov. 5 /PRNewswire/ -- Experts predict that Nanotechnology will drive progress in virtually every industry. Come explore this new field at the special program Nanotechnology, The Next BIG Small Thing, presented by the San Diego MIT Enterprise Forum. The program will be held on Wednesday, November 12, 2003, from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at the La Jolla Radisson, 3299 Holiday Court in La Jolla.

An expert panel will tackle the business side of Nanotechnology, including what the impact is on industry, who is funding research and development, how it is being commercialized, and what it means for future technology products.

The program will be moderated by Vicki Norton, Ph.D., Pillsbury Winthrop LLP. The expert panel includes Sangeeta Bhatia Ph.D., assistant professor of bioengineering and assistant adjunct professor of medicine, UCSD; Cliff Martin Ph.D., principal and cofounder of Nanoverse LLC; and Richard Smith, co-founder of the Nanotechnology Policy Forum and senior futurist for the Institute for Alternative Futures.
