April 24, 2013 -- The 6th symposium COSM’ING on cosmetic ingredients and biotechnology will take place this year, June 26 to 28, in Saint-Malo, Brittany, the 4th biotech’s French region and leading region in marine biotechnology.
Organized by CBB Developpement, a French Biotechnology Transfer Center, the event will focused on exchange about biotech tools and processes (enzymatic reaction, fermentation, plant cell culture…) and their transfers in cosmetic industries. COSM’ING is a scientific manifestation, awaited every 3 years, both oriented symposium and discussions on biotech applications to develop cosmetic products.
This event will gather many international specialists. For this edition, COSM’ING 2013 will be a double event organized between business meetings and symposium. By mixing one-to-one appointments and scientific symposium, this new edition of COSM'ING will allow you to network and update your knowledge in a place conducive to discussions. Since 15 years, COSM’ING works on valorization of biotechnologies in cosmetic.
Indeed, in the last few years, ingredients obtained from biotechnology appeared successfully on the market and are now present in cosmetic products of many brands. Currently, environmental concerns are really an actuality and preoccupying subject. Questions are there and obviously COSM’ING has reserved an important place to this topic.
After each conferences session, participant will have time to view and discuss posters. 6 of them, selected by scientific committee, will be presented at a flash presentation. It will be an opportunity to discovered more in details projects carried by young researchers or innovating projects from companies.
Call for poster continues until May 21 in the same time of registrations. Like usually, around 150 participants are expected for COSM’ING 2013, researchers and industrials, including from major companies involved in biotech and cosmetics.
