CARLSBAD, Calif., April 6 /PRNewswire/ -- Alphatec Spine, Inc., (“Alphatec”) today announced that it has appointed Trent J. Northcutt as Vice President of Sales. The appointment demonstrates Alphatec’s core belief that strong surgeon relationships are an essential part of its corporate strategy.

Mr. Northcutt was hired in 2004 as Director of Business Development for Alphatec Manufacturing and was quickly promoted to Director of National Sales. In 2005, he became the Regional Sales Vice President for the West where he drove annual sales in his region to $20 million.
Mr. Northcutt has over 15 years of experience in the medical device industry. Prior to joining Alphatec, he was Vice President and Co-Founder of Spine and Sports Medicine, Inc. Mr. Northcutt has also managed a division of Team Surgical, Inc.
