Almac Group Wins Export Achievement Award At The Pharma Industry Awards

Craigavon, N.I., 06 Oct 2017 – Almac Group, the global contract development and manufacturing organisation has won the Export Achievement award at Ireland’s Pharma Industry Awards.

The award recognises the Group for an effective and rewarding export strategy which demonstrated commitment to expand its global business.

Since launching in 2014, the Pharma Industry Awards recognise the successes and achievements of Ireland’s pharmaceutical industry and are seen as the benchmark for excellence for those operating within the sector. The winners were revealed at a Gala Awards dinner on 5th October at The Clayton Hotel, Dublin.

An independent panel, which comprised 13 industry leaders, judged the entries and determined the winners based on a number of key attributes. Almac triumphed over the competition and clearly demonstrated its effective and innovative Goods Distribution Practice (GDP) strategy, how it implemented an efficient, cost effective and environmentally responsible approach to exporting, how the company engages with suppliers and the efforts to increase brand awareness in international markets. It was one of 22 awards presented to Ireland’s laboratory industry.
