ALPHARETTA, Ga., Dec. 7 /PRNewswire/ -- Alliant Pharmaceuticals, Inc., a pediatric specialty pharmaceutical company, announced today the appointment of Allen Fields, PhD/DrPH (Candidate) as Vice President, Research and Development and Pete Joiner as Director of National Accounts.
Fields will be responsible for research and development, clinical and regulatory affairs, quality, and training. Fields has more than 14 years of experience as a clinical and regulatory affairs professional. He has managed IND, NDA, and ANDA preparation, strategic clinical and regulatory planning, meetings with the FDA and other regulatory agencies, and drug development. Fields has held clinical and regulatory affairs positions at PharmaFab, Inc.; Sepracor, Inc.; Quintiles, Inc.; Purdue Pharma L.P; and TAP Holdings. He holds a B.S. in Chemistry from Kansas Wesleyan University; M.Ed. and M.S. from Kansas State University and University of Kansas School of Medicine; Neuropharmacology Fellowship at Duke University; and additional graduate work at John Hopkins University, Bloomberg School of Public Health, and the University of Kansas School of Medicine .
Pete Joiner will oversee the sales and marketing of products with federal, institutional and managed care customers for Alliant. Prior to this role, Joiner was National Account Manager with sanofi-aventis. Joiner won numerous awards, including “Excellence in Leadership,” as he worked through the ranks at sanofi-aventis. Positions held include: Director of Marketing Business Resources, Information Systems Manager and Director of Marketing Services. Joiner received a B.S. in Electrical Engineering and an M.B.A. in Management from the University of Cincinnati.
