09 April 2009 - The Berlin based sequencing and extraction specialist, AGOWA genomics, was ranked number one in the DNA sequencing survey (SQ2/08).
The survey was compiled by DGKL (Deutsche Vereinte Gesellschaft für klinische Chemie und Laboratoriumsmedizin e.V.) in October 2008. A total of 37 laboratories from 12 European countries participated in the survey, including 19 German facilities. The participants were each given two PCR products and associated primer sets. They were asked to sequence the PCR products and analyse the resulting sequencing data in order to generate concordant DNA sequence data and the longest read lengths. The results from each laboratory were ranked according to accuracy and read length. AGOWA genomics achieved the highest score for overall technical performance.
“Being ranked the best out of 37 sequencing facilities is further proof of our high quality and long-standing expertise in DNA sequencing” said Dr. Steffen Krüger, General Manager of AGOWA GmbH in Berlin.
The SQ2/08 certificate is available upon request.
