Accelrys Inc. Announces Annual European User Group Conference

Accelrys, Inc. (NASDAQ: ACCL), the leading scientific informatics software and services company, is pleased to announce its annual European User Group Conference being held at the Dolce Sitges Hotel, Barcelona, Spain, 26-28 October 2010.

The merger of Accelrys and Symyx has created the leading scientific informatics software company. At the conference, Accelrys executives will outline the company’s new shared vision, integration plans, product roadmap and expectations moving forward. Participants will learn how the merged company portfolio supports innovation, process efficiency, and reduced compliance burdens.

The Accelrys European User Group Meeting will feature three days of proven best practices, product demos, expert user presentations and one-on-one interaction with Accelrys executives, industry keynote speakers, fellow colleagues, Accelrys partners and product experts.

A highlight of the conference will be a plenary keynote by Joseph Cesarone, Abbott, on Tuesday, 26 October at 10:30 a.m., titled Experiences in Collaborative Development and Deployment of a Registration System for Biologics. As part of a Special Interest Group (SIG) consisting of Accelrys and a small group of pharmaceutical partners, Abbott assisted in the design and development of the Accelrys Biological Registration system. Abbott was the first partner to deploy the system into production, in September 2009.

Customers will also present in the Pipeline Pilot Track, Discovery Studio Track and Materials Studio Track.
